#Elon_Musk revealed that a major progress had been made in the case of the patient who had a #brain_chip implanted last month.

Speaking on Spaces on the “X” platform, Musk announced that the patient had completely recovered without any ill effects, indicating that he was able to move the mouse around the screen simply by thinking. He also continued, saying: “We are trying to get as many button presses as possible from thinking. This is what we are currently working on,” according to what the British newspaper “Mirror” reported.

Neuralink performed the transplant. It is one of many groups working to link the nervous system to computers, efforts aimed at helping treat brain disorders, overcome brain injuries, and other applications.

The Neuralink device is approximately the size of a large coin and is designed to be implanted in the skull, with very thin wires connected directly to the brain.

The initial goal of this so-called brain-computer interface is to give people the ability to control a computer cursor or keyboard using their thoughts alone.
