Is digital culture considered a rational support that refines the innocent inclinations of children?

Digital civilization has become the primary guide to people’s lives, as it has become integrated into its technologies, development, and means, until they cannot do without it as if it is the only style they have known and grown up with. It is natural for every individual to understand and use social media technology, especially since it is one of the basic pillars of social life today. But is it necessary for a child to grow up from a few months to 14 years old with this phenomenon?

Technological development has made almost all tasks easier, and even motherhood is no longer this difficult. Sometimes all that is needed to silence an infant is to place the phone, computer, or television screen in front of him with a YouTube channel for children to dazzle his little eyes and keep them patient in front of it for hours of time. All a child needs in the kindergarten stage is a digital tablet in his hands in order to feel rewarded by his parents and to relieve them of the burden of torment that every human being must go through until he matures. Recently, science and culture have become taught via the Internet, and a generation, perhaps more, will graduate from distance learning imposed by the Corona pandemic.

It is recognized that it is necessary to keep pace with this development and this virtual life. It is indispensable for all ages to know every code and technical means, as those who are far from these means and programs may feel abandoned, inferior, or perhaps backward. But unfortunately in our societies, especially Arab ones, everything is accepted except limits, as they require greater effort than the limits of development and technology. Although these borders are difficult to confine our children’s lives to, they are their safety and security from a digital crucible that may corrupt their psyches and minds. Our children have moved away from nature and their places of play have become screens and electronic game applications. They have no social life and their acquaintances are limited to imaginary people who may know nothing about their backgrounds. Despite the advantages of technology for the young generation, its broad horizons, its scientific and cultural scope, and its many blessings, every blessing has a curse, which lies here in the loss of innocence and the confusion of the child’s inclinations, judgments, and judgment about everything. In contrast to the strength they gain regarding their information and the ease of access to it, there are gaps of weakness that surround them as a result of their confinement within screens and algorithms, including in the bodies of those who are accustomed to one position and are deprived of movement and breathing air. And on their psychology, which has become an arena compared to what others publish on social media. A volcano of anger and war in the face of electronic pestilence and blackmail, in addition to social ignorance resulting from the lack of personal and direct communication with the world.

Every place has an article. Every age has a right. Do not deprive your children of their realistic rights directly related to nature, humans and stone. Their minds and horizons expand by addressing reality more than assumption. Their hands are still too small to carry devices that shackle them and limit their capabilities, so let them experience the blessings of truth before life imposes on them the exile of technology.
