Be cyber aware

#Remote_work has spread all over the world, especially after the #Corona pandemic that occurred in 2019, which has drawn the attention of societies to its importance, flexibility, and positives, such as saving money for the employer and employees, time, and perhaps some pressure and effort, such as eliminating the burden of transportation and traffic congestion. But everything has its downsides, which are evident in remote work and the risks of #cyberattacks. This demonstrated the importance of #cybersecurity, awareness of it, and adherence to its instructions

Unfortunately, some people are still neglecting and not adhering to the instructions. Among the most important tips that must be adhered to to ensure a  safe work environment are :

Keep work equipment out of the reach of family members:

Although you trust yourself and your employees who have the technical knowledge to maintain their safety online, not all family members have the same knowledge, and work devices may be subject to misuse if they get into the hands of children, for example.

I work to secure your home’s Wi-Fi network

This is done by creating a strong and unique #password that is difficult for anyone to guess. Or also hide your wireless network, to prevent recognition and access to it.

 Place a camera cover

#Working_from_home usually means participating in video calls that require the use of a camera (meeting). Hackers can also easily access your device’s camera without permission, putting your privacy at serious risk.

So you should purchase a camera visor which can be found online in all shapes, sizes and colors to suit your needs. It is usually easy to install.

 Using a VPN

Working remotely often means connecting your computer or laptop to the company’s virtual private access network (VPN#), so its security must be enhanced by using the strongest possible authentication method. Many VPNs have a username and password, but you may want to By adding another layer of protection, such as using Tokens: the VPN will not be satisfied with the password only, but you must enter the code that came to you on your mobile number or email, and this will be a helpful factor for you in the event that it is hacked.

We note that most solutions depend on the #human_factor, not the technical one. What is the benefit of modern technology if its user does not care about cybersecurity awareness?

Therefore, one of the first warnings that Cyberax raises is the importance of educating the individual, through creating programs and campaigns that will build and enhance awareness of the importance of a culture of information security inside and outside the organization.
