Did you read what was written or did you click OK without reading the content?

WhatsApp often updates its terms and privacy policy, then we find at the bottom of the pop-up window that we showed you a button to accept these new terms ). Unfortunately, most people accept the message directly, by clicking the “Agree” button, without bothering to read the changes or modifications that have been made. It may be difficult for us to understand the confidential notes prepared by lawyers, and there is no escape. As long as you are on the platform, this window will continue to appear until you carry out what is required or you are blocked from using WhatsApp until you agree to the new policy. Therefore, the easiest thing that can be done is To click OK .

WhatsApp will start implementing the new policy next month. Which states the following : “ There is a warning attached directly to the bottom of the message . ” The new policy allows “WhatsApp” to share some of its users’ data with “Facebook,” the company that owns the application, and allocate space for interaction with advertisements.

Backup of your data

Did you know that the feature of saving a backup copy of your correspondence is done unencrypted on WhatsApp servers

You should know that WhatsApp plans to collect more data about you Does this mean that WhatsApp will read your messages?

We cannot confirm this yet, or at least they have not disclosed this, but they use other methods to obtain your information Facebook will also be able to collect more information about you and your account, i.e. your phone number, address, and directory of your information, so all contacts and status information may be messages such as “ Available ” or “ Busy ” at the bottom of your profile, as well as all data related to Your transactions and payments, because this will be linked to their new feature called “ WhatsApp Payments ” , so they will be able to track everything, in addition to customer support calls .

So Facebook will be able to access all of this through your phone, in addition to many information about you that WhatsApp can collect through these changes and this new policy, such as your data, its uses, the type of phone you use, and even your location .

So what kind of financial data does WhatsApp want?

WhatsApp wants to access your bank account, and this may not happen directly, there may be an intermediary involved, and they will have access .

WhatsApp will also be able to transfer money from your account and collect details about the transaction, what you pay, who you pay for, and when you want delivery. In fact, Facebook wants to know how and where you spend your money .

WhatsApp can also collect data about your messages, such as when a message is not received. He can keep the message in encrypted form for 30 days while trying to receive it, after that, it will be deleted. When you forward a multimedia message, such as a message containing a video or photos, WhatsApp keeps it temporarily on its servers. Technically, WhatsApp does not read your encrypted conversations with friends and family, but it can still learn a lot about you. All this information can be used to create your own profile, habits, preferences, and transactions, which will be part of your profile. This file is then transmitted to… Facebook, and share this information with other companies

Why do they want this information?

Simply because Facebook is trying to make money through WhatsApp and by tracking the user. And this is what they will do around the world. Facebook has more than 200 million active subscribers, potential data on 200 million citizens, and 200 million customers. They will know what they buy, how much they spend, what their preferences are, and their addresses and contact details

These companies can target advertising to you based on your data. This has been done previously in several other ways,

For example, try searching for flights or hotels for your next vacation, and after a while you will get suggestions about hotels, flight options, and even advertisements displayed in restaurants, where you can eat during your vacation. How do you think this will happen? They are tracking you !

Mark Zuckerberg didn’t buy WhatsApp for $ 19 billion in 2014 for nothing, or as many say he spent more money than he should have. They don’t know he had a plan Did you know that Facebook generates 99% of its revenue from advertising?

WhatsApp can start Facebook in e-commerce. Two years after acquiring WhatsApp, Mark Zuckerberg wanted to start making money. The founders of WhatsApp disagreed with Zuckerberg’s plan and were dissatisfied with Facebook’s business model, so they had to leave the company. .

Another question What business model represents Facebook’s business model?

Facebook collects your data for targeted ads, this is how they make money, and now you will use WhatsApp to expand this operation, expanding the giant network, and Facebook will use it to sell ads to companies, as it wants to host companies on WhatsApp, so you may see an ad on Facebook or Instagram that may promote the same product. Through WhatsApp also, this is their plan, they tell you with the message “ We are not available now in your country, download the app now and get all the news on the go ”.

In the end, what do we conclude from all this?

We conclude that nothing is free in this world, and this applies to WhatsApp as well, as it is not only a free messaging service.
