After the emergence of the Corona epidemic in 2019 in the Chinese city of Wuhan and its outbreak in 2020 to become a global pandemic, people felt trapped to the point of imprisonment.

But within this curse, #digital_civilization imposed itself as savior and savior. He began working and learning remotely until this pattern became normal. It began to take shape in various forms, including lengthy job interviews over the Internet, the emergence of electronic applications with different names and coordinates, and even family meetings that took place on WhatsApp or  Zoom and  other applications that allow voice and video communication.

So every individual entered the #technology space according to his abilities and capabilities. The world did not stop, but the person programmed himself professionally, from within his home, committing to work and “in pajamas.” Some employees described the stage to the CyberX website as “quiet, productive luxury.”

The day of the engineer at Murex Company, Nour Assaf, begins at nine in the morning, and she begins her work immediately, stressing that her increased productivity was not due to working remotely and being alone at home. “Rather, it is a personal decision to continue working even after work because I am free and do not want to feel bored.” . Despite her commitment and activity, the matter was not without complications. In her opinion, “Direct communication with the work team facilitates the delivery of information more clearly, especially within our field, where standing in front of colleagues and dealing with them personally is necessary.” But the home quarantine imposed itself as a fait accompli for a year, during which I was forced to conduct all meetings online. Were there any reactions to her social personality? Nour answers, saying, “Previously, I used to have days during which I worked from home. When the Corona epidemic imposed this situation on us for a year, I adapted until being among a large number of people became annoying. After gradually returning to the office, I felt at first that I was getting out of my comfort zone and better.” “Go back to the computer screen, solitude, and put on your pajamas.” She directly stated to “Cyber

Nahid, quality controller

As for Nahid, a quality controller at a company, he pointed out to “Cyber Which broke my heart a lot. However, during the home quarantine period, she did not leave me even during work hours, as she would imitate me, sitting next to me and holding her toy laptop.” He added, “Due to the commitment to home and remote work, I rarely wore my clothes, but mostly stayed in home clothes, and during the work meetings that we held via Zoom, wore a shirt and kept my pajama pants on. My daughter also imitated me, and we were surprised by her one day as she insisted on attending.” “Describe her without changing her nightgown. I became more careful about this matter.” Regarding the employee’s ability to communicate with his colleagues and bosses, Nahid told Cyber “I maintained the same rate.” He adds proudly, “The quarantine period allowed me to get to know myself more as I discovered new hobbies, such as an interest in agriculture and riding a bicycle.”

CyberX went to business owners and asked them about employee productivity during the period of remote work, which is still ongoing. Mr. Badawi Antonios Al-Darjani, owner of an import and export company and a partner in an events organizing company in the Arabian Gulf region, told us that he did not face any problem with the productivity of his employees. “I noticed that some employees were working even on their days off.” He added, “Working hours within the organization include wasted time that the employee spends drinking coffee and talking to his colleagues, as opposed to being alone and in his place of comfort, which is the home.” Mr. Badawi is one of the people who does not always like to work from the office, and his work style is based on meetings outside the company. “The employee’s ability to move outside the office gives him more activity, and we do not require the employee to wear formal clothing,” stressing “the necessity and positivity of direct meetings inside the workplace from time to time.” Another thing is that meeting the employee face-to-face is indispensable, and this is something that globalization and remote programs and applications cannot compensate for.”

Mr. Sayed Yameen, General Manager and Owner of Advanced Integration Technologies , confirmed to Cyber He hired new people within the organization who were interviewed online. But he preferred that the last interview be face-to-face “because the accuracy of direct evaluation cannot be provided by visual communications.”

A new generation has grown up in front of a digital tablet.

Mothers, teachers, and school students have a share in expressing their opinions regarding distance learning. Through a survey it conducted to find out the viewpoints of professors and students aged eight years and above, Cyber The students’ answers were that they understood the explanation and what was required of them, but they preferred to be on the school campus and receive the explanation directly from the teachers. Psychologically, they do not feel entitled to move to a higher grade. Also, 66.7% of students did not like the distance learning system. 50% faced difficulties using applications.

Some students stated that they did not adhere to the controls imposed by their presence in the classroom, and one of the answers was as follows: “I used to wake up two minutes before class. I used to move from one room to another carrying the phone, in addition to that I used to eat whatever I wanted.” Others stressed that they were wearing comfortable clothes and did not have a specific place to study.

As for the teachers, they in turn stressed the importance of students returning to school, and from the answers we obtained, “The distance education experience has its advantages, but it is not comparable to direct education.” Education does not stop only at explaining lessons and teaching materials, but rather plays a fundamental role in the upbringing and upbringing of the student. “We cannot do without in-person education because we need direct communication with the student, to immediately evaluate him, listen to different opinions, and know the degree of understanding of the materials through the expressions that appear on his face. We also need to study his personality through direct observation to refine or crystallize his behavior.” Some professors indicated that the students’ concentration rate decreased, while others said that “their concentration ability increased because the matter was new to them and everything new was desirable.”

With the presence of children at home and practicing all their lifestyles within one place, this must put pressure on mothers, especially working ones, who told Cyber For years, there was a place for every work and the home for rest and family gatherings. Now the home has become for everything and there is no place for rest.” Regarding their fear for their children’s future, 75% of them reported that they had great fear. Among the answers we obtained was, “The home atmosphere is not similar to the school atmosphere, which imposes discipline on the student. Their transfer to a higher grade is a reality, but it is high risk, especially with the shortening of the subjects, the cancellation of some of them, and the state of chaos that was taking place on the Zoom application .” Because the beginning of the spread of mobile phones and computers in the hands of children was related to gaming applications and watching videos on YouTube, they must have been confused and unable to reconcile the idea of studying and playing on this device, and this is what one of the mothers indicated, answering, “I was annoyed by my children spending time between classes.” On games because of their presence on digital tablets.

Finally, “Cyberax”, from the point of view of its specialists, believes that despite the facilities that have been provided and are still being provided by #technology and the Internet, we are in a state of digital chaos, due to the inability of many to adjust and differentiate between real life and virtual life, in addition to the lack of preparation of some to protect themselves. Cyber, which mixed controls and customs, resulting in many pests. Despite passing the stage of remote work and learning and the merging of societies into a new life described as “hybrid” , we still face many digital problems that require a quick solution and human commitment to everything stipulated in #cybersecurity so that we can continue in the new globalized world.

Each stage of renewal and change takes months, years, or perhaps a decade, to penetrate a person’s life without causing shock or leaving crises to adapt to. The penetration of globalization into our lives did not happen overnight. Rather, our dependence on this new, rapid technology was imposed in order to maintain the course of our lives, and we were not prepared for it at all levels.

Our societies today no longer need a computer and the knowledge to use it in order to keep pace with the new era, but rather a lot of awareness and education on how to deal with civilizations that live inside this light device in order to avoid many dangers.
