New complaints about Apple Vision Pro glasses

A limited number of owners of the #AppleVisionPro mixed reality glasses reported that a crack suddenly appeared in the middle of the front glass of the glasses without dropping them or misusing them .

Several similar complaints appeared  from glasses owners on the social media forum Reddit in the section dedicated to glasses, and the published photos showed a vertical break at a specific point in the middle of the front glass panel, where the curvature of the glass is most evident at that point .

Similar complaints were not detected on other social networking sites or in the official Apple technical support forum, which suggests that it is a limited problem in specific units, and not a common problem .

It is noted that all complaints indicate that the breakage appears for no apparent reason, and it is likely that the breakage may be the result of the pressure exerted on the windshield when tightening the straps for the glasses, or due to the high temperature that may lead to the glass expanding and cracking at its weakest point .

The windshield repair fee for #Apple_Vision_Pro glasses costs $300 in the presence of the additional AppleCare extended warranty. Without it, the cost of repair reaches $800, which is approximately equivalent to the price of a new iPhone, noting that “Apple Care” is a paid service whose subscription is paid in advance to cover part of the repair costs .

Some Glasses owners affected by the problem reported that they contacted Apple technical support and were asked to pay the full repair costs. Because Apple did not classify the problem as a manufacturing defect, nor has it officially commented on the problem yet .
