A qualitative shift in the health sector caused by the Internet of Things

Before IOT, doctors’ interaction with patients was limited to visits and phone or text communications. There was no way for them to be able to continuously monitor patients’ health and make recommendations to them.

Until devices that operate with the Internet of Things provided the possibility of remote monitoring in the #health_sector, which unleashed the possibility of maintaining the safety and health of patients. Provided superior care by doctors, and enhanced patient participation and expression of their opinions, as interactions with doctors became easier and more efficient.

Remote health monitoring contributes to reducing the length of stay in the hospital and limiting admission to emergency cases. The Internet of Things has a significant impact on reducing health care costs and improving treatment outcomes, especially since medical devices based on the Internet of Things  (IoT) are able to perform self-maintenance .

The patient will be observed and treated, through video cameras and other electronic actuators, which collect all the different patient data and also receive inputs from health practitioners, in addition to sensing and uploading the latest patient information to the cloud in emergency situations, from the ambulance or even from home.

By identifying an #Internet_of_Things developer, you can create automated systems managed by #artificial_intelligence, which will facilitate the work of doctors and nurses, as they will be able to direct their focus exclusively on patients.

The time has come to use digital and technological solutions in developing #health_care, especially in light of the high rate of diseases and deaths, as the intervention of the #Internet_of_Things in the health sector will have a positive impact that will be felt in the coming days and years, but before integration into health systems, their tools and standards must be subject to evaluation. And experiences that will help the patient trust and accept them.
